What in D20 is reflective of Tolkien and what is not.

Posted by Ryan Thomas at October 22. 2008

I have had this discussion since 2 months before 3.0 was released and I find it always fascinating and for you Hawke, I think it could be quite helpful in providing focus and separating the chaff and the wheat.

Here are some things I am pretty sure we might agree on, but I wouldn't want to assume any of them.

1.  Magic is generally subtle.

2.  Magic is not common place in Tolkien in comparison to Eberron or Forgotten realms settings.

3.  Healing magic is about as rare as resurrection.

What do you think?
